I created this combination convection microwave oven page to give you a review on what I think is the all around best units for home cooking (or microwaving).

First of all, I want to assure you that I do not make money off of selling these units. The information here is objective and is a result of my research on these products. User reviews and satisfaction plays largely into my choices. Hopefully my work will make your purchase an easier and happier one.

Combination Convection Microwave Oven - My Choice For The Two Best! 

#1 Sharp Grill 2 Convection Microwave 

This is a nice looking unit with a lot of positive reviews on the internet. But I must tell you that it cost more than the one below, but it those who have bought it are happy customers. 

This Combo Microwave Oven totes 900 watts of convection power with browning and crisping capabilities. I like that. Food cooked in the ordinary microwave ovens looked about as appetizing as a piece of cotton. 

However, the 1500-watt double grills in this unit emit heat under and over the food at 11 different power levels. Nice!  

The digital display is attractive, convenient and easy to use. Personally, I don't like it when you have to pick up the book every time you want to cook something because a unit is so hard to use. This one is nice. 

This combination convection microwave oven is stainless steel with an interior light (which all microwaves should have, but don't) and includes a 12-3/4 inch turntable for even heating. 

The real user reviews that I got off the internet are superb. Here is an excerpt from one of the many online user reviews: 

"Can you believe a microwave that will brown chicken? I've cooked things in this that makes me seem like a gourmet chef, but I'm not even quite an average cook. Chicken breast that practically melts in your mouth, but the outside has a tantalizing crispiness that's sure to please the taste buds. Most recent to this review, I cooked several rounds of New York strip steak. A nice steak rub, a bit of non-stick spray for the rack and turntable tray (makes for an easy cleanup), and a steak-lover's dream was created." 

#2 Sanyo 1 Cubic Foot Microwave Oven With Convection And Grill 

This combination convection microwave oven will cost you less than the Sharp, but I personally don't think it looks quite as...well, sharp. I would say that it is a matter of taste. Those who bought it like the looks and you may like this one better. Actually it is still a very nice looking unit. 

It is rated by consumers as good as the Sharp, but there are not as many reviews available.  

This one has a 1000-watt microwave and a 1000-watt grill with a 1400-watt convection oven. That's really good power...enough to satisfy all cooking needs. 

This combination convection microwave oven has a full 1 cubic foot stainless steel interior with a 12-3/8 inch turntable. It also has 5 power levels. This unit also is easy to use. It has variable temperature control and can defrost by weight or time.
